Keywords

Decided by you, keywords are used to create content.

Query

Decided by users or searchers, queries are used to create answers or a SERP.

If you are doing keyword research in a better way, it will help you to reach your correct or targeted audiences, it will bring more audiences to your business or website, and also it will help you to improve your branding or brand awareness or better brand marketing.

Never do blog writing directly after keyword research because it is the wrong way. After keyword research, the content planning step comes, and after that, content writing. (Keyword Research -> Content Planning -> Content Writing)

Small Keywords

  • High search volume
  • Unclear searcher
  • Low conversion rate
  • More brand visibility
  • Useful for large budgets and long campaigns

Long Keywords

  • Less search volume
  • Clear searcher
  • High conversion rate
  • Less brand visibility
  • Useful for small budgets and short campaigns

The ideal length of a keyword is 3 to 6 words (you will also get good enough search volume and a somewhat clear searcher).

Types of Keywords

  • Navigational: If a query contains the name of a brand, then those types of keywords are called navigational keywords. Navigational keywords are those that users use to find the URLs of a brand. (Udgam Hospital, Sadbhavna Hospital, etc.)
  • Informational: Informational keywords are those that users use when they want some information, want to get information, etc. (What, Who, Where, What, How, etc.) How to avoid tooth cavities? Best home remedies for a toothache? How to treat tooth pain in kids at home? What is a root canal?
  • Commercial: Commercial keywords are the keywords that users use when they want to do business, meaning they want to make some transaction. (Most affordable dental clinic in Delhi, best braces for kids, root canal vs tooth removal)
  • Transactional: Keywords that show urgency to make a purchase are called transactional keywords, like ‘near me,’ ‘buy,’ etc. (Emergency dental clinic, best root canal dentist near me)

NOTE: Transactional keywords are a part of commercial keywords. The only difference is urgency, there is no other difference. These keywords are hard to rank because the competition is high.

Keyword Difficulty (KD)

When it is difficult to rank a keyword, it is called keyword difficulty. If a keyword is easy to rank, then its keyword difficulty will be low, and if a keyword is very hard to rank, then its keyword difficulty will be very high.

Keyword Sheet Structure

A seed keyword is a phrase from which you will get keywords. It is the keyword that we will target on our website and target on different pages.

Where you can find keywords

  • Google search box
  • Google Keyword Planner

NOTE: If you want to see your competitors’ keywords and the keywords they are ranking for, then go to the ‘Start with Keywords’ section in Google Keyword Planner and enter your seed keywords, and then go to ‘Start with Website’ and add your competitor’s website.
