Create a Pillar Page

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, but technically it could have been called Optimization for Search Engines. The reason is that we are not optimizing the search engines themselves; instead, we are optimizing websites and content so that search engines can better understand, index, and rank them.

If you want to learn SEO, it is very important to understand the work of an SEO professional logically. To perform SEO effectively, you must first understand how search engines work. A modern search engine operates through five main stages.

How to Write Anchor Text?

When you add anchor text in your page content, never give anchor text on words like ‘Read More…’ or ‘Know More.’ The anchor text should be relevant to the landing page in any way. If the anchor text becomes long, there is no problem, but it should be relevant to the landing page.

When you add anchor text in the content, keep this in mind that never create another anchor text just a few words after one anchor text because when the content is shown on Windows and mobile devices after publishing, users may face difficulty while clicking. It means the user may want to click the first link, but the second one may get clicked, so never create anchor text so close to each other.

How to Add a CTA Button in the Content?

If you want to add a CTA button or link on your page, make sure it looks different from your content, that means either make the text of that button or link bigger or design it so that it looks different, attractive, and clickable.

How to Optimize Images for SEO?

When you add an image to your content, you also have to optimize the image. Whenever you upload an image, give it a relevant name. Like if it is an image of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, then use ‘actor-sushant-singh-rajput’, do not give it randomly like ‘whatsapp123224443.jpg.’

When you upload an image, add ALT text to the image, which means you have to explain the image you are adding in the ALT text and use a maximum of 200 characters in the ALT text with the primary keyword because Google will give priority to only the first 200 characters. Also, when you upload an image, give it a caption.

Where to Place Images in the Content?

Always use the image in the middle of the content, do not use it before or after a paragraph. When you use images in the middle of the content, the content before the image and the content after the image will justify the image. And also give alignment to the images.

If you add a link to an image, it means the image will become an anchor. Then what will be the anchor text? If you add a link to an image, then its anchor text will be the image’s ALT text. So, make sure that whenever you do this, you do not ignore the ALT Text because, in this situation, Google will consider your ALT Text as the anchor text.

How to Use a Form in the Content?

If you use a form in your content to collect information from users, then you need to keep a few things in mind, like the form labels should be proper, the form placeholders should be proper, and also there should be information about why users should fill out your form, like ‘Fill the Form to Get 10% Discount,’ because the form is the most important part of your page, and that is where you are collecting users’ data.
